



The Handwriting Assessment is designed to measure, record, monitor & review development & progress with handwriting for children and school pupils across all age groups and Key Stages. It addresses the main areas involved in the development of a legible and fluent writing style & it incorporates all the relevant National Curriculum Attainment targets within a broader developmental framework.

To record progress with handwriting skills & Attainment Targets / To screen for handwriting difficulties / To assess & identify needs & formulate learning plans.
For Use With
Individuals & groups, all ages, grades & Key Stages / Pupils with learning delays or disabilities, e.g. dyspraxia, dyslexia, dysgraphia, difficulties with coordination & motor control, perceptual-motor delay or immaturity / Individuals recovering fine motor coordination skills and functions.

Materials
The Handwriting Assessment is available as a PDF Adobe Acrobat Document, size 371 KB (16 A4 pages). It includes an Introduction to the assessment, Guidelines on completion, a Handwriting Assessment Record Form, an Evaluation Form and References.
The Handwriting Assessment Record form can be printed off from the file as required, either as a complete set to cover the full school age range (pages 7-14), or for different age groups or Key Stages. There are no further costs for record forms.
